Sunshine

Post by Dragoniangirl on Wed May 06, 2009 1:21 am

Spoiler:

Why is it I get inspiration from the weirdest places?

So, backstory, I was watching an episode of Cold Case the other day and was treated to this song at the end. So after finding this clip on youtube and listening to it for a while I ended up getting this weird idea in my head. An apocalyptic city setting with a young girl singing this song while standing on the roof.

This then escalated to a little comic idea of a world where there's no more sunshine (haven't thought of the reason yet) and living in this old abandoned building is this girl and some of her friends. She has an obsession with items of the past and one of the things she found was an old record player and some records (that's where she heard the song). I was planning on having her and her friends arguing about her singing and the song itself but I never got past this.

Maybe I'll continue it. Maybe not. I'm not sure. >.>

I'm glad everyone liked my little comic. ^^ Now I have a little dilemma. I'm continuing with this comic but I have a small problem: I can't pick a name for the main girl. Normally as soon as I create a character I've got a name already picked. But I just can't pick one for "Sunshine" (that's what I'm calling her at the moment)

So, any ideas?

Eliane and Eloise both mean sun if you want to go for the obvious one.

Other names with hopeful or happy meanings are Diana, Noelani, Chiela, Alaia, Rada, Felicity, Felicia, Chara, Hana, Letitia, Lynette...

<.< I like themed names.

I'm sorry. Didn't mean to bring up sad memories.

Use it in memory of little Hana.

Her memory shall be one of the happiness shared.

It's okay. I just never knew it was a hopeful/happy name. I just named her after one of my favorite anime characters. >.>

It's Arabic for bliss, the Czech version of Hannah (gracious), and Japanese for flower. It's a neat name.

<.< I have a lot of naming websites bookmarked.

Me too. ^^ I was considering looking up some of the Celtic/Gaelic names from a site I have bookmarked but then thought of getting some other suggestions first.
